Nutritional plan on board: a new icon

Tired of those complicated enough, the nutritional pyramid? Well it seems a simpler, more user-friendly graphical travel map to healthy eating. And it is on the Board. Select this new icons introduced u.s. Department of agriculture http://www.choosemyplate.gov/in. It's more to please the eye and easier to follow.

Robert Post, Deputy Director for the DA's Center for nutrition policy and promotion explains that the symbol is part of a healthy eating initiatives, which will be seven key messages from the Government : dietary guidelines, food, but less to eat to prevent excessively large portions;; half a plate of fruit and vegetables, drink water instead of sweet drinks; switch to fat-free or low-fat milk (1%); compare sodium in food and that at least half the grains whole grains. "

"That it is quick, simple reminders for all of us to ensure that more food that we eat," was the first lady Michelle Obama is quoted in the report, USA Today.
