Plank
For this stomach exercise, you will need to lie on a flat surface, such as the floor. You will be lying in your stomach, so you may want to use a mat or towel to cushion your knees. Prop your upper body up on your forearms so that your elbows make a ninety degree angle and are positioned directly below your shoulders. Now lift your body up off the floor so that your lower body is supported by your toes, while your upper body remains supported by your elbows. Your body should basically be a straight line, with no arch or drooping through your back. Hold this position for twenty seconds, then lower your body back to the floor. One repetition is sufficient.

Choosing a Therapist Step-By-Step

Therapy is a collaborative process, so finding the right match is critical
Choosing a Therapist Step-By-Step
Therapy is a collaborative process, so finding the right match is critical. After you find someone, keep in mind that therapy is work and sometimes can be painful. However, it also can be rewarding and life changing.
What are the steps for choosing a therapist?
1. See your primary care physician to rule out a medical cause of your problems. Many physical disorders can mimic psychological ones.
2. After you know your problems are not caused by a medical condition, find out what the mental health coverage is under your insurance policy or through Medicaid/Medicare.
3. Get two or three referrals before making an appointment. Specify age, sex, race, or religious background if those characteristics are important to you.
4. Call to find out about appointment availability, location, and fees. Find out if they take your insurance or if they charge by income.
5. Make sure the therapist has experience helping people whose problems are similar to yours. Don"t be afraid to ask about experience.
6. If you are satisfied with the answers, make an appointment.
7. During your first visit, describe those feelings and problems that led you to seek help. Find out how the therapist reacts and what options you are given for treatment. Do you feel comfortable with your choices?
8. Be sure the psychotherapist does not take a 'cookie cutter' approach to your treatment - different psychotherapies and medications are tailored to meet specific needs. You are an individual and your therapist must show that perspective.
9. After your initial visit, take some time to explore how you felt about the therapist. Is there a connection? Do you feel comfortable?
10. If everything meets your approval, schedule your next appointment. If not, go back to the list you gathered in Step 3 and start over again.

Heart disease, stroke or diabetes is just some of the unhealthy affects of inactivity in the body

Heart disease, stroke or diabetes is just some of the unhealthy affects of inactivity in the body. The good news is that studies show without discrepancy that these affects can be prevented or reversed; meaning that switching from a sedentary lifestyle to an active one can be extremely beneficial over time. Exercise alone, without change in diet, can greatly reduce the risks for these diseases even in small amounts. Doing what ever you can to increase your motivation to exercise is the first step to overcoming the lack of motivation to actually do it. Any of the arrays of methods to motivate you will be of great importance. Listening to music while running, simply finding out the exercises that you truly enjoy, setting particular times when exercise is the main focus of the day, all help you to stay motivated to stay in motion. Developing a habit or pattern for exercising is the best way to stay motivated; your body will become accustomed to working out heavy at a certain time each and every time. Your mind posses the ability to create positive ideas that leads to positive actions allowing you to live a strong and healthy life. Positive self talk can do wonders for motivation as well as just viewing the results of previous attempts (i.e. thinner waistline, six pack, etc). Self encouragement is the ultimate motivation. Youll have no one to thank but yourself.

TG-0054 is a potent and selective inhibitor for the binding of the chemokine cell-surface receptor CXCR4 to its ligand SDF-1 and efficiently mobilizes stem cells (CD34+) and endothelial progenitor cells (CD133+) from bone marrow into peripheral circulation in a mouse model. TG-0054 will initially be developed for the indication of stem cell transplantation in cancer patients.Mesoblast Limited (ASX:MSB) U.S. Heart Attack Stem Cell Therapy Trial UpdateDoctors at Houston's Texas Heart Institute held a press conference last Saturday (AEST) to provide an update on the ongoing multi-centre Phase 2 clinical trial of the proprietary mesenchymal precursor cell (MPC) technology in patients with heart attacks.
